Putting the Super in your Foods!

For those of you who know me, you know that I am a LOVER of superfoods! Ever since I experienced the magic of these amazing foods from all over the world, I can’t help but be an advocate (first hand experience, I promise). While some would say superfoods include things like lettuce and lemons, and rightly so as they are wonderful healthy foods, I’m talking about those superfoods with a back end. A back end being literally a whole train of dense beneficial naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, nutrients, antioxidants, essential amino acids (proteins) for longevity, bliss, passion, stability and grounded energy, and thousands of years of healing history.

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine by thy food” Hypocrites

While superfoods are not the least expensive foods on the planet, they are medicine. When you begin to eat superfoods, you will find that you don’t need to take supplements as often, as much, or at all. You will naturally eat less and differently. Without effort, you will gravitate toward eating more healthfully because your body will be saturated with so much goodness that it attracts the same. So, it may seem initially that it is an investment, but just know that you are investing in your highest healing, and saving in the long run by living a vibrant and healthy life free from dis-ease!

Here is a list of some names of raw superfoods so you can experiment! Bee Products (pollen, royal jelly, honey), Cacao (powder/nibs), Maca, Goji Berries, Acai Berries, Incan Berries, Camu Camu Berry (highest form of vitamin C on the planet), Vitamineral Green, MSM, Holy Basil, Hemp seeds, Chia Seeds, Seaweeds, Spirulina, Chlorella, Blue Green Algae. Sprouts also fall in the superfoods category along with seeds we know like sunflower and pumpkin! There are many more superfoods. Listen to your body and experiment with what is best for you!
